Your daughter is beautiful. My husband is Chinese, so my oldest daughter is half Chinese half Caucasian and our youngest is adopted from China, so we too love to acquire books about their culture for our girls!

I bought a copy of this book a couple weeks ago, after reading several positive reviews. I’m not too fond of most short stories, but I think (especially after reading your summaries of the different stories) I won’t be disappointed by these!

You make me want to rush out and pick up a copy right now! I am drawn to refugee stories and am always interested in learning about other cultures. My father had to fight in the Vietnam War and so Vietnam as a whole (past and present) has always interested me in the sense that it is a part of my father’s own past, even if only as a foreigner. If that makes any sense. Great review!
