It is an impossible task, quite honestly, to make a TOP 10 LIST, because, as soon as I do, I remember a book that I loved or read a book that finds it's way on the list. But, here is my attempt... I can always edit ;-)

My All-Time Top 10 Favorite Books:
10. Matrimony by Joshua Henkin
9. A Light in the Attic by Shel Silverstein
8. The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis
7. Othello by William Shakespeare
6. Push by Sapphire
5. The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson
4. Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman
3. The Complete Poetical Works of James Whitcomb Riley by James Whitcomb Riley
2. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
1. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

I did not list The Bible among these books for two reasons, one being that there is always a sense of obligation to include it in any book list (and I've even included it by adding this) and the second reason is that all the afore mentioned books are literary works of fiction.

Read-a-Thon: First Post!

Good morning, everyone 🙂 This is my first post of my first read-a-thon… YaY!

I’m starting out where I left off last night in Empire Falls, a book I really do like, but it seems like I’m never going to finish…

ever.

So Hour One: Sam, 16, and Gwen, 14, are fighting like cats and dogs. Gwen wanted her DVD player back so she can watch something and demanded Sam give it back. Now Sam is yelling “Shut up!” at her and throwing plastic eggs, while Gwen is bawling loudly. I sooOOoo want TVs for each of their rooms! *sigh* It’s going to be a fun reading day. Sam’ll be going to her friend’s house in a couple hours, and spending the night there. YaY!

K.. as to reading: I’m on page #467 in Empire Falls, 16 pages to go.
